Allnation Insurance Company

Allnation was founded in 1977 in Wilmington, Delaware. For many years, it operated as a 100% wholly owned subsidiary of Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBSDE), offering international health plans that were identical to those offered by the International Division of Blue Cross Blue Shield. However, due to a decision by BCBSDE to concentrate exclusively on its domestic (U.S.) business, Allnation recently went through a change in its ownership structure.

Today, Allnation offers the same high quality international health plans through their new parent, the Mutual Group. The Mutual, founded in 1840, currently operates in 19 countries and has an "A" (Excellent) rating from the AM Best Company, the insurance industry's best known independent
evaluator. The Mutual has an excellent reputation in the international insurance industry, and is known as an extremely conservative but well diversified company. As a 100% wholly owned subsidiary of the Mutual, Allnation now shares in the "A" rating, as it continues provide high quality, reliable international health plans in the grand tradition of Blue Cross Blue Shield.
